Debra Makowski - May Artist of the Month!

Congratulations to Debra Makowski, our featured Artist of the Month! Debra has quite the extensive experience of creating and crafting (since she was in kindergarten she says!). Coming up with new ideas and creating almost anything that has to do with fibers keeps her busy- crocheting, knitting, basketry, weaving, sewing, & more! She does it all!

Debra is originally from the Seattle area but has lived in St. Mary's County for 17 years now.  After a rewarding career of working with Special Education students for over 26 years, Debra has recently retired but continues to keep busy with her artwork and also enjoys spending time with her family and 6 grandchildren (all who have sported beautiful baby hats at one time or another!).

Custom orders are readily accepted and many of her items would make great Mother's Day presents (hint, hint!). Come meet Debra at the shop or leave a message for her if you would like to place a Special Order.
