We welcome our newest artist Cathy Shiflett! Cathy was born in Covington, VA and has lived all over the US.  She has recently relocated to St. Mary’s County as her husband accepted a position at Pax River NAS and now resides here with her family and pet dog.

Cathy has always had a creative side as she started out with cake decorating and floral designing. Her main passion has always been photography which has evolved into a small business on Fine Art America. She has also developed her skills in jewelry making and specializes in the art of handcrafted wire wrapping and woven techniques.

Our multi-media fabric artist Peg Gowen of Sand Dollar Creations received quite a few special awards at the St. Mary's County Fair recently! Taking 1st and 2nd place in several different categories, Peg's work was judged and juried by a panel of local artists who looked for creativity and quality of workmanship. Peg has all of those and more, congratulations Peg!
